Auburn is centrally located mainly due to its easy access to I-80 freeway. This freeway gets you to the airport in 40 minutes or you can make a run to Tahoe in 1 and 1/4 hours. It only takes 10-15 minutes to get to the Galleria mall for great shopping and 20-30 minutes to get downtown.
Most of the homes in central Auburn were built before 1990. Downtown has a lot of neat old Victorian homes. Therefore, this is one of the oldest areas around. The average home is made with wood frame construction, wood siding and on a raised foundation and this is a great design for the area. A lot of these homes have septic and a well. These can have problems. I always recommend we get a full clean out of the septic and the well should be tested. .
