Loomis is a great town with all the amenities any one could ask for and just a quick 5 or 10 minute drive down the hill to the Galleria Mall for some of the best shopping around. Most houses for sale are priced between $600k and $1,000,000. Most of the higher end properties are in the Los Lagos Neighborhood and most of the lower priced properties are in older parts of downtown.

As you can see by the above values, Loomis is in the middle range by price for the overall Sacramento area and this makes it a great value. It is a great neighborhood if you want good schools and lower crime for the reasonable cost of the homes.. Most of Loomis has natural gas from PG&E. PG&E also provides the electricity. Your electricity provider will depend on where the house is located.
Loomis is centrally located mainly due to its easy access to I-80 freeway. This freeway gets you to the airport in 40 minutes or you can make a run to Tahoe in 1 and 1/4 hours. It only takes 10-15 minutes to get to the Galleria mall for great shopping and 20-30 minutes to get downtown.
Most of the homes in Loomis were built before 1990. Downtown has a lot of neat old Victorian homes. Therefore, this is one of the oldest areas around. The average home is made with wood frame construction, wood siding and on a raised foundation and this is a great design for the area. A lot of these homes have septic and a well. These can have problems. I always recommend we get a full clean out of the septic and the well should be tested. .
